Top Cut Lawn Mowing
Applying for a Top Cut franchise is fairly straightforward. Your first step is to request an application form. A deposit /application fee of $500 will be required when you submit your application.
Our lawyer will then provide you with the Top Cut Lawn Mowing franchise agreement and appendices. Be sure to read this information carefully to understand what is expected of you and what you are to be getting for your investment, before you agree to take the next step. You are also welcome to get financial and legal advice before agreeing to any investment; we want to make sure you, the proposed franchisee, are protected and confident about your decision to work with us.
If you choose not to proceed, you will have to return all the franchise documentation that you received from us within the first 14 days of receipt. You will then receive a full refund of your deposit.
If you agree to move forward, a police check will be required and the balance of the $10,000 ($9,500) must be paid on the day of signing (after the first 14 days) of the franchise agreement documents. After signing there be will an additional 14-day cooling-off period, if you change your mind your $10,000 minus our legal costs shall be refunded.
Your franchise business starting date will be 28 days from day we give you the franchise documents.
We will then reserve your chosen franchise location which will form a part of your business name, as per the Top Cut Lawn Mowing naming convention. You will then register this business name with ASIC and apply for an ABN (if you don’t already have one).
Meanwhile, you will need to purchase your own vehicle / trailer, as well as gardening equipment, for which we will provide you with a checklist and recommended specifications. We will then organise Top Cut signage for your vehicle / trailer. Note that there must be large flat surfaces on at least 3 sides for the signage.
As soon as your registration is confirmed, you will be officially part of the Top Cut family, and open for business! We will help train you for two weeks, and provide ongoing support so you can run your very own gardening business confidently and professionally.

The Top Cut Lawn Mowing Package for franchisees includes:

- Waiver on the annual membership fee during the first year

You will also receive branded Top Cut uniforms and caps as well as your very own Top Cut webpage.
You will be in full control of your business – you will have direct contact with your customers with no lead fees and no call centres to intercept phone calls, and any enquiries from your webpage shall be emailed directly to you.
During the subsequent years, an annual membership fee and monthly advertising fee will be payable to Top Cut. All costs related to providing services to your clients as well as your public liability insurance shall form part of your own tax-deductible expenses.
